Get involved
If you’d like to help build the commons movement in Stroud, here are some things you can do.
First, learn about the commons. Here’s a good place to start.
Contact us if you think you’d like to join an existing group or help start a new group, based on your interests.
Existing groups: housing commons, climbing commons, Festival of Commoning, Commons Lab, plus the Stroud Commons website.
Potential new groups: care, water, energy and land commons.
Skills needed: admin, marketing, comms/videos/podcasts, project management, events organising, writing, proof-reading and editing, fundraising, web development, UX/UI and IT skills would all be useful, and if you have legal, financial or governance experience – great. If you don’t have any of these skills, but you’re enthusiastic and resourceful – also great.
Invest: contact us if you think you might like to invest in any of our sectors.
Later, we’ll be looking for customers and people for paid roles.
Spread the word: tell people about Stroud Commons and commons generally.
